What Drift is

Drift is a testing tool. It sets the location a stock iPhone reports, from a Mac, so apps can be tried against a place you choose. It does not change iOS, install anything on the phone, or try to defeat checks an app makes for itself. Since iOS 15 the system can mark a location produced this way, and any app is free to ignore it. Drift makes no promise that any particular app will follow.

Your licence

A subscription gives you a licence to use Drift on your own Macs with iPhones you own or are allowed to test with, for as long as the subscription is active. One licence covers one person. You may not resell it, share the account, or use Drift to deceive another person or a service about where you are in a way that harms them or breaks the law where you are.

Your iPhone

Turning on Developer Mode is your choice, made in Apple's own Settings. A location set by Drift outlives the app that set it: if Drift is force quit or the cable comes out during a run, the phone keeps reporting the last place until you restore it, and Drift offers to do that the next time it opens. Restoring takes up to about three minutes.

Payment

Prices are shown before you pay and charged by Stripe. The first three days are free; the first charge is on the fourth day unless you cancel before it. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. See Refunds and cancelling.

No warranty, limited liability

Drift is provided as it is. We do our best to make it work as described, but Apple's developer services change, and when they do Drift may stop working until it is updated. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
